‘Floral’ Original Resin Painting
Rozanne uses six or seven layers of paint, resin and mixed media. Painting in acrylics between the layers so that in places you can actually see a depth and layering effect.
This original is one of her classic floral pieces. Predominantly poppies, she has also used resin pigments in an almost 3D effect, which represent abstracted flowers. It has a blue back ground which contrasts wonderfully with the reds, yellows and greens of the flowers.
Framed in a white frame and white slip.
Image size excluding frame: 16 x 16 Inches
More details on this Piece
Her nature is bold, gregarious and expansive. This is reflected in the topics and styles of her paintings. Zimbabwe was, obviously, a huge influence on her work. Vibrant colour, tropical fauna and flora personalised with her own child like perspective and great sense of humour. She started painting as a child and had her first exhibition at 16, and has always loved naïve and native art.
The technique she has developed involves many layers of paint and resin, amongst other materials to create pictures of great depth, with rich texture. The depth of the medium means that when lit correctly the paintings almost glow with reflected light. She is constantly developing her technique to produce ever more vibrant works that have an almost 3D quality in places. They are produced in series, with a variety of frame size and shape so that they would fit well in most locations.
Because of the technique her work is impossible to copy, so all her paintings are originals.
