Norman Stuart Clarke
Norman Stuart Clarke is one of Britain’s leading glassblowers. He has worked for numerous years from his studio near St.Ives, Cornwall, where he also had a gallery. He now lives and has his studio in France with his wife Lesley.
We have stocked Norman’s Glass for many years. The process of his glass starts with pure crystal glass which is then melted in the furnace; the molten glass is gathered from the furnace on blowing irons and then rolled into coloured glass. This piece is then re-heated and blown into its final form from rotation and gravity.
Clarke is influenced by the beauty of cornwall and this is where his love for glass first began. He loves the rushing waves, sunlight through the trees and the silent presence. His work is exhibited worldwide and is included in many public and private collections. We have a small variety of stock which is shown on our page. Each piece is completely unique.
Any design / shape / size combination can be commissioned by the artist. Every piece is signed by the artist.
