Margaret Johnson also takes inspiration from ancient Japanese techniques. Using straw silk fibres in layers with precious metal foils, gold and silver leaf, all her glass is meticulously crafted. There is an amazing level of detail in the glorious swirls and shoals of metallic shimmering fish that feature on the majority of her work.
She produces an impressive range of different decorative glassware.
